In 2012, the Maine People's Alliance, a far-left group, called on Republican then-Secretary of State Charlie Summers to RESIGN since he was running for U.S. Senate.

But this year, Secretary of State Shenna Bellow is running for governor, NOT resigning, and the Maine People's Alliance is collecting signatures to get her on the ballot!

What a hypocritical double standard!!

The fact is, Secretary Bellows hasn't hesitated to use her office for far-left activism, proving the point that the Maine People's Alliance made in 2012...

From trying to kick President Trump off the ballot to dodging questions from legislators and journalists about that package of 250 "errant" absentee ballots last fall... it's a total failure to maintain the integrity of the office. She just doesn't care!

It's simple. Any Secretary of State, of any party, should not preside over an election in which they are running.
